The original MG TC starter motor by Lucas was type M418G part number 255378 or 25535. This looks the same and is an M418G but number 255379 and 6volt. 10 tooth pinion. Probably not worth rewinding and restoring but valuable for parts. £50. Heavy to ship but happy to store until the lockdown restrictions are lifted.
