These are parts I’ve collected over the years as spares, but don’t need them anymore.
They’re located in Somerset, transport/collection can be arranged elsewhere if required.
I have pictures for anyone interested, viewings can be arranged as well.

LOT 1
Cylinder block (small hole in second bore)
Crankshaft end caps
Cylinder head (welded and one intake lug missing – came from a running car)
Valves, springs, guides, collets, etc. from the above head
Cylinder head rear water takeoff
Oil pump
Rocker box (chrome)
Pushrod side cover
Engine breather pipe
Clutch assembly (flywheel housing, flywheel, clutch plate, clutch spring plate)
Timing chain cover
Sump (small weld and patch on the front)
Gearbox with bell housing and remote

  • It is sad to report that even in our little corner of the internet there are fraudsters and scammers operating. A T-Typer who recently posted a "Wanted" advert has received a response from someone who claimed to have "the parts" he was after, asking for payment via Western Union money transfer (a haven for scammers) and quoting a PO Box address. We can only echo the cautionary note given by Craigslist at the top of every classified ad: Beware any deal involving Western Union, Moneygram, wire transfer, cashier check, money order, shipping, escrow, or any promise of transaction protection/certification/guarantee.
  • When you receive a response to a Wanted advert on ttypes.org, apply common sense. Does the person sound like a T-Typer? Ask for photos of all of the parts, including close-ups on serial numbers or other distinguishing features. If the person refuses or makes excuses, do not continue with the deal. Likewise, if you are selling parts, then be absolutely sure that any payment has cleared completely before shipping anything. Where possible, deal locally, face-to-face, or failing that, use PayPal, which affords you a level of buyer protection.
  • The worldwide MG T-Type community is close-knit, and at ttypes.org we know personally many of the individuals that are part of it, so if you have any doubt at all about a transaction, contact us in the first instance before proceeding with any deal.
