This is a classic 1949 MG TC roadster in Sequoia Cream paint with a red interior. The car is complete and has been well cared for with a nice patina inside and out. It looks great and gets lots of attention. The brake system was overhauled this year (new wheel cylinders and new brake shoes along with new rear axle seals). At the same time, the gas tank was removed, cleaned, and repainted. Other mechanical work in the last 4 years includes new water pump, electronic ignition, new battery, rebuilt master cylinder, and rebuilt shocks and shock mounts as needed. The car starts easily, shifts smoothly, and runs well. The top, tonneau, side curtains, interior, and instruments are complete and in very good condition. All electrical connections have been tested and repaired as necessary. Even the dash lights work. The car has an older repaint with some orange peel. The chrome radiator shell, headlights, and fog lamp are in excellent condition. Tires are excellent. The car comes with some restoration and service records going back to the 70s and 80s. This is a car that can be driven with pleasure as is or restored.

IMPORTANT - Please Read

  • It is sad to report that even in our little corner of the internet there are fraudsters and scammers operating. A T-Typer who recently posted a "Wanted" advert has received a response from someone who claimed to have "the parts" he was after, asking for payment via Western Union money transfer (a haven for scammers) and quoting a PO Box address. We can only echo the cautionary note given by Craigslist at the top of every classified ad: Beware any deal involving Western Union, Moneygram, wire transfer, cashier check, money order, shipping, escrow, or any promise of transaction protection/certification/guarantee.
  • When you receive a response to a Wanted advert on, apply common sense. Does the person sound like a T-Typer? Ask for photos of all of the parts, including close-ups on serial numbers or other distinguishing features. If the person refuses or makes excuses, do not continue with the deal. Likewise, if you are selling parts, then be absolutely sure that any payment has cleared completely before shipping anything. Where possible, deal locally, face-to-face, or failing that, use PayPal, which affords you a level of buyer protection.
  • The worldwide MG T-Type community is close-knit, and at we know personally many of the individuals that are part of it, so if you have any doubt at all about a transaction, contact us in the first instance before proceeding with any deal.
