TB 0566 underwent a complete restoration by a highly regarded marque expert, and is accompanied by a large file of receipts approximately 12 years ago. During the restoration, louvers were added to the bonnet, while otherwise this car remains at stock specifications. Wearing a stunning combination of grey over grey (at a cost of nearly $10,000) this TB still remains as fresh over a decade later.

After restoration was completed, it was then purchased by a longtime prewar collector and vintage racer. This TB was then set up to perform as a competitive yet reliable “drive to the track, race, and drive home example”. It can be raced around Lime Rock Park at approximately 1:25, and remains competitive in its class.

TB 0566 has participated very actively in the VSCCA, and is documented in its log book. A regular participant at hill climbs, including the Hershey Hill Climb (Hershey, PA), Mt. Equinox Hill Climb (Manchester, VT) and the legendary Mt. Washington “Climb to the Clouds” (Gorham, NH) just to name a few. While this TB currently features period correct bucket seats, the original bench seat is included, as is the slightly larger MG steering wheel – replaced with the classic Bluemel's Brooklands wheel. Full tonneau cover and all weather gear are present, and in very nice condition, as well a nearly complete took kit fitted properly under the bonnet.

Maintained exclusively by one vintage race shop with no expense spared, TB 0566 has been a very enjoyable, and reliable companion to it's owner for the last decade. Currently riding on period correct Blockley shod 19 inch wire wheels, TB0566 is a turn key prewar racing entrant, and rare addition to any collection.*****SOLD*****

IMPORTANT - Please Read

  • It is sad to report that even in our little corner of the internet there are fraudsters and scammers operating. A T-Typer who recently posted a "Wanted" advert has received a response from someone who claimed to have "the parts" he was after, asking for payment via Western Union money transfer (a haven for scammers) and quoting a PO Box address. We can only echo the cautionary note given by Craigslist at the top of every classified ad: Beware any deal involving Western Union, Moneygram, wire transfer, cashier check, money order, shipping, escrow, or any promise of transaction protection/certification/guarantee.
  • When you receive a response to a Wanted advert on, apply common sense. Does the person sound like a T-Typer? Ask for photos of all of the parts, including close-ups on serial numbers or other distinguishing features. If the person refuses or makes excuses, do not continue with the deal. Likewise, if you are selling parts, then be absolutely sure that any payment has cleared completely before shipping anything. Where possible, deal locally, face-to-face, or failing that, use PayPal, which affords you a level of buyer protection.
  • The worldwide MG T-Type community is close-knit, and at we know personally many of the individuals that are part of it, so if you have any doubt at all about a transaction, contact us in the first instance before proceeding with any deal.
