Cars For Sale / Wanted
Added: November 14, 2017 Modified: November 15, 2017
  • Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom

I purchased the car in 2009 and have spent 4 years carrying out a nut and bolt complete restoration. Since this was completed in 2013 the car has travelled 1073 miles!
The work carried out includes:

Stripping the car down to bare metal
Replacing the majority of the ash frame
Replacing the wooden floor
Replacing the wiring loom
Servicing all the gauges
Engine inspection
The radiator has had a recore
Chassis taken back to bare metal and treated
All the running gear has been stripped and parts replaced where necessary brake shoes etc
The car has had a professional respray all the panels were chemically stripped beforehand
New wire wheels and hubs and spinners

The hood frame and side screens have been chemically stripped and repainted
The car has a new hood and new side screen covers
All the chromed parts are original and in very good condition
The petrol tank has been internally cleaned and also resprayed
The car is black with red leather seats and beige hood and side screens and is in excellent condition and a real head turner and definitely a very good investment.
I have full photographic evidence of all work carried out.
The car comes with a Heritage certificate and lots of history (MoT certificates, import Certificate of Title and lots of bills for parts purchased)
The engine had a complete rebuild and has very good oil pressure that never drops and runs perfectly.

The car also comes with lots of reference books and workshop manual and, as stated, photographic evidence of all works carried out. Further photos can be e-mailed on request.

Asking £34,000 or very near offer. Phone 07710700565

IMPORTANT - Please Read

  • It is sad to report that even in our little corner of the internet there are fraudsters and scammers operating. A T-Typer who recently posted a "Wanted" advert has received a response from someone who claimed to have "the parts" he was after, asking for payment via Western Union money transfer (a haven for scammers) and quoting a PO Box address. We can only echo the cautionary note given by Craigslist at the top of every classified ad: Beware any deal involving Western Union, Moneygram, wire transfer, cashier check, money order, shipping, escrow, or any promise of transaction protection/certification/guarantee.
  • When you receive a response to a Wanted advert on ttypes.org, apply common sense. Does the person sound like a T-Typer? Ask for photos of all of the parts, including close-ups on serial numbers or other distinguishing features. If the person refuses or makes excuses, do not continue with the deal. Likewise, if you are selling parts, then be absolutely sure that any payment has cleared completely before shipping anything. Where possible, deal locally, face-to-face, or failing that, use PayPal, which affords you a level of buyer protection.
  • The worldwide MG T-Type community is close-knit, and at ttypes.org we know personally many of the individuals that are part of it, so if you have any doubt at all about a transaction, contact us in the first instance before proceeding with any deal.
